On 1st November 2011 MARINA Project started.
Marina - Managing Risks of NanoMaterials is a large scale integrated collaborative project funded by the European Research Programme FP7. Venice Research Consortium participated in the kick-off meeting, held in Rome from 16th to 18th November at the Congress Center of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart.
MARINA's Consortium involves 46 partners coming form all over Europe and from China, Russia and Japane as well, coordinated by the Institute of Occupation Medicine (IOM).
The aim of MARINA is to develop and validate specific reference methods for all the main steps in managing the potential risk of ENM (Enigineered Nano Materials).
MARINA will address the four central themes: Materials, Exposure, Hazard, and Risk and develop beyond-state-of-the-art referential tools and integrate them for both human health and environment.
