CVR

Consorzio Venezia Ricerche (CVR, Venice Research Consortium) is a non-profit research organisation that provides a direct link between the universities of Venice, research centres, public institutions and private companies. By cooperating with many partners (industry, SME, universities and research centres), the Consortium aims to develop research programmes based on technological and scientific methodologies, and to create and coordinate both national and international research projects.

CVR’s research activities are aimed at discovering and developing innovative solutions to environmental problems and are carried out in both internal and external laboratories and by a group of researchers (with expertise in different fields) including PhDs and collaborators.

In addition, the Consortium provides Small and Medium Enterprises with technical and scientific support and disseminates new technologies.

The Consortium’s activities include multi-year projects, usually co-funded by the Italian Ministry of Research or the European Commission, and high quality technical and scientific consultancy studies on different topics (environment, materials, etc.).

CVR has developed a number of patents and published more than one hundred papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

The Consortium is located within the Venice Gateway for Science and Technology (VEGA Park), of which it is one of the funding bodies.
