The Venice Research Consortium partecipated in the kick-off meeting on 8th May 2012 at VITO-Plasma Technology offices in Antwerp, Begium.

The project NANOPUR - Development of functionalized nanostructured polymeric membranes and related manufacturing processes for water purification, funded by the European Commission within the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), aims at leveraging on promising bottom-up technologies to develop intensified water treatment concepts based on nanostructured and nano-functionalized polymeric membranes, as well as nanofilm deposition by plasma technology, for virus and micropollutants removal.

NANOPUR project is lead by the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO) and comprises 12 partners, of which experienced research institutes as Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics (ITWM) and academic partner (Cranfield University), as well as high level industrial partners as SOLVAY and GVS Group, and SMEs such as CP Iberica.
